OpenSkies Technology

OpenSkies is a PC based training and simulation software package that brings the military trainer cost effectiveness while maintaining strict compliance with military distributed simulation specifications. It takes advantage of recent advances in consumer level computing hardware to create a powerful system capable of simulating many different real aircraft and vehicles in a realistic setting.

The OpenSkies Virtual Environment Training System is a general purpose simulation toolkit, developed by Cybernet with the collaboration of NAWCTSD, JWK International, DMSO, DARPA, STRICOM, and AFRL, that seeks to bring the same benefits to the distributed simulation and training community.
